Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lbs 680g center-cut salmon fillet, skin-on or skinless
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped rosemary or 1 tsp dried
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped dill or 1 tsp dried
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 large lemon half for juice, half for slices

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Pat the salmon fillet completely dry with paper towels and place it skin-side down (if applicable) on the prepared sheet.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the olive oil, minced garlic, rosemary, dill, paprika, salt, and pepper to form a paste.
  4. Squeeze the juice from half the lemon evenly over the salmon fillet.
  5. Spread the herb-garlic paste evenly over the top of the salmon.
  6. Thinly slice the remaining lemon half and arrange the slices on top of the salmon.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  8. Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
